A clear example of a species in danger is the Sumatran orangutan. Vast amounts of their rainforest habitat in Indonesia have been aggressively destroyed to create palm oil plantations. Orangutans depend on tall trees to survive, so they walk desperately through ruined land looking for food. Because of this, countless orangutans die every single year.
